Due to the recent alarming increase in covid-19 infection rates,we are only scheduling in-office visits for procedures. All new patients and established patient follow-up appointments will be conducted virtually via teledermatology until further notice. Currently scheduled patients have been contacted and e-mail blast messages have been sent. We are also experiencing an extremely high volume of calls. Please be patient as we are also affected by the shortage in healthcare staff. Thank you in advance for your patience, understanding, and support.

COVID-19 (coronavirus) Announcement

Due to recent developments with COVID-19, we have decided to move to a Telehealth platform as doctors have been advised to conduct Telehealth visits.

BEFORE YOUR VISIT (for new patients or established patients not seen within the last 12 months or if your insurance has changed since your last visit) - please go to the following link: https://www.visagederm.com/about-us/patient-registration-forms/ and print and complete all the patient registration forms. DO NOT put in your social security number. Then upload the file and e-mail it to frontdesk@Visagederm.com so that we may upload it to your actual patient chart in the practice. Doxy me does not store any of your information.

For the Telehealth visit, I we will use Doxy Me, which is encrypted and HIPAA-compliant. Please make sure that you are in a well-lit room and that the are of concern may me seen clearly. Ten (10) minutes before your appointment time, please click on the link https://doxy.me/drstsurin that will be sent to you via e-mail from @Visgagederm.com . Then click the consent box, consenting to the terms of TeleHealth with Doxy me. I will then prompt you to submit payment on your end by typing in your credit card information with the secure STRIPE platform. Once your payment is received, we will begin your visit.

During your visit, I will ask you the following questions, so please have your answers ready:

  1. Do you have allergies to medicines or foods?
  2. How long the rash or mole or lesion has been there and what have you done to treat it thus far? If you haven't treated it that is fine.
  3. What makes the condition better or worse?
  4. What pharmacy do you like to use (name and city). For generics and things that are needed same day, I send prescriptions to your local pharmacy. For more expensive, dermatology, specific medications, I send prescriptions to either My express Care or Mecmo, depending on which one has the best process for your prescribed medications. You do not have to go to them. They will mail the prescription to your home and you should have it withing 24 hours of your Telehealth visit.

It is important to note that each TeleHealth visit is treated as a real medical visit by the State of Maryland and will be billed to your insurance. This is why a co-pay or deductible is collected at the time of the visit and will be collected at each TeleHealth visit. Once the COVID-19 pandemic has been controlled and it has been deemed safe to return to seeing patients in the practice, I will resume seeing patients in the practice.

Thank you for your patience during this time. I look forward to taking care of your skin, hair and nail concerns. Stay healthy and well and continue to follow the CDC guidelines https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html and the policies set forth by your governing officials.
